To help develop the local workforce, we have partnered with the McMinn County Economic Development Authority, the Southeast Tennessee Development District, Tennessee College of Applied Technology – Athens, and the Advanced Technologies Institute of Cleveland State Community College to build local technical training programs. Plans are currently underway to establish curricula with the goal of enrolling participants before operations begin at Tennessee Lithium.

Best Place to Work

Piedmont Lithium’s corporate headquarters are based in Belmont, a suburb of Charlotte, North Carolina. In 2023, we were honored to be named among the Best Places to Work by the Charlotte Business Journal, ranking #4 out of 130 in the large business category.

This signature awards program focuses on highlighting employers that have the perks, practices, and policies to attract and retain top talent. Participants were scored based on employee surveys designed to measure engagement, taking benefits and other factors into consideration. Finalists were divided into four categories, according to company size.

“Our greatest asset is our people, and this achievement underscores Piedmont’s dedication to building a supportive and inclusive culture that puts people first and encourages us to bring our authentic selves to work,” explained Human Resources Director Dylan Manion. “While we are honored to be named a top regional employer, we know that this award is a testament to the individual perspectives and contributions shared by our employees. We are so proud of each one of our team members for helping us build a family-focused culture and shaping Piedmont Lithium as a wonderful place to work!”

Our Core Values

At Piedmont Lithium, we are guided by five core values to cultivate an environment that encourages employees to share their unique perspectives, bring their authentic selves to work, and embrace the differences of others. We do what’s right – not necessarily what’s easy – as we aim to become a leading North American producer of lithium resources.
